I really can't say enough good things about Donny and Haley. What started as a small wedding in the spring of 2019 became a perfect, intimate courthouse ceremony on New Year's Eve... of 2018! The weather could have played nicer, but the snow made for some spectacular photos.
After their super intimate ceremony we hopped over to Gem City for a couple of drinks, plugged the juke box, and enjoyed their first dance.
We braved the sleet after their first dance and drove to Double Cut in Wisconsin Dells for their dinner. Just Donny, Haley, my husband and me! We had drinks, we talked about life, we talked about how they earned this marriage more than just about anyone we know, we ATE, and we had cake!
I couldn't think of a more perfect ending to 2018 - Cheers, Donny and Haley!
I love this photo so much because we all know the groom is saying, "dayummmmmmmmmmm!"
The last few years I have been BUSY. Busy raising babies. As a result, I didn't feel comfortable taking on a full time work schedule - and I wouldn't have had it any other way! But now it is time to step up my game again.
Announcing the Senior Rep Program! This was super popular when I was in High School and I have been toying with the idea of taking it on and making it my own for a few years now.
It's very straightforward. This is an opportunity for you to spread the word about my photography with your photographs via social media, even word of mouth. The more referrals you send my way who book with me, the more rewards you will get!
Discounts on photos, wall art, albums, phonebooks and more
Entries to fun giveaways
A reduced session fee
Who should want to be a Senior Rep, and apply, this year?
-A Junior in High School who is on track to graduate in 2020
-Someone who likes the photos they have seen Victoria Matteo Photography produce
-A person looking for a curated, personal senior photography experience
Now, while these sessions will be tailored around YOU, they will still represent the lifestyle photography feel that I emphasize in my sessions. If you are not a person who is very comfortable in front of the camera, this may not be the route you want to take and can just inquire about a Senior Photo Session. It will be your job as a Victoria Matteo Photography Senior Representative to spread the word about your experience by sharing your images from your session and tagging me!
The Reps, at some point in the summer, will all get together for a fun, styled team shoot and luncheon!
Head on over to that contact button to inquire. You will be directed to an application for the 2020 Senior Rep Program!
Rustic Wedding at Buffalo Phil’s in Wisconsin Dells
Mary & Josh
Working hard to get back into the swing of business and life after having our second baby has proven to be just as difficult as I expected! I had started revamping my website and blog when I was about halfway through my pregnancy and came to a crashing halt! Now that I am a little bit better and efficient at mothering two kids, it is a huge goal of mine to blog my past season.
Mary and Josh were married at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo, WI and had their reception at Buffalo Phil’s in Wisconsin Dells, WI on the most perfect, overcast early-summer day… the kind where you’re not sure if it will downpour any second. After their ceremony, while their family and close friends headed to cocktail hour, we took a short drive to Mary’s grandparents house to get down to business! Immediately upon arrival at the farm a keg was tapped and, being pregnant, I started salivating a bit. Seriously! Does it get much better, as a bridal party member or spouse/significant other of a bridal party member, to be able to relax with friends and drink a couple of cold drinks while you’re waiting for photos to wrap up? I think not.
We finished photos at Wild Rock Golf Club – which is where Mary and Josh met years ago when they both worked at the golf course – and then went to Buffalo Phil’s for the reception! At the reception they had the cutest put put game where their guests had to use a putter and hit a ball to different “holes”: just a peck, I’ll dip her for this, and where’s the room key. I thought it was so much better than the traditional (ok, obnoxious) clinking of the glasses. And it gave the kids a fun game to play!
Hi! I am Vicki and this is my bare-bones, still under construction site. Thank you so much for stopping by. It has been my goal for a long time to build a better website so of course I chose the busiest time of year for me to dive into that venture. Amidst weddings, mid-summer mini session planning, pregnancy, motherhood, and trying to keep myself alive – why not, right?
Tonight, after we had cake with my family for my son’s first birthday, I dragged my son and husband out of the house to do some test shots for some mid-summer minis I want to have. There is a new lavender farm in town called New Life Lavender and Cherry Farm that I have been jonesing to go to and thought it would be a fun, unique place to host some minis. We took some test shots there and I am thankful that my husband is great with a camera and snagged a cute shot of me and my son, Archie. Of course, my favorite photos of myself are when my face isn’t in the shot – I feel like a lot of women can relate to that!
The farm is so cute and situated just off Highway 12 on Highway W in Baraboo, WI. Their store immediately made me think of Joanna Gaines for some reason, and I wanted to actually spend the night there. Although, I was there after-hours so I don’t think the owners and their children would’ve appreciated that. But one of the owners briefly told me about some of their specialties which included lavender-cherry pie, a lavender coffee drink and a frosty lavender lemonade… Needless to say, I was salivating and am already planning my return trip to try.it.all! I’m sure my husband is thrilled to tag along…
